A user recently approached me because while DiggDawg was already a beloved tool, it wasn’t quite flexible enough for their unique needs. After a little brainstorming and a sit down with this user, I had an idea for a new feature called Services! Now, this might not be the most groundbreaking addition in the history of software, but it’s going to make your life a whole lot easier.
Think of Services as DiggDawg events, but with a twist—more flexibility, more customization, and more ways to make your schedule truly yours. Need to create reusable templates? Done. Want to customize defaults like charges per client? Easy peasy. For example, if you offer several variations of daycare with different prices, Services allows you to define these templates with custom titles and charges.

Personal Holiday Events: Because You Deserve a Break, Too!
Let’s be honest—running a business can be ruff, so when it’s time to take a well-deserved break, we want to make sure DiggDawg has your back. That’s why we’re introducing Personal Holiday Events! With this feature, you’ll be able to add personal holidays directly into your calendar. If there’s ever a conflict with an event, DiggDawg will politely remind you that it’s time to put your paws up and relax. After all, you’ve earned it!
Holiday Amends: Simplify Your Schedule, One Holiday at a Time
We know that holidays can be a bit tricky, especially when your clients decide to jet off to the beach but still need your services here and there. That’s where our Holiday Amends feature comes in! You’ll now have the option to add excluded dates to a holiday period. So, if one of your clients is away for six weeks but needs you for a few days in between, you can easily adjust without creating multiple holidays. It’s like having your cake and eating it too—but with fewer calendar headaches!
A complete mobile app rebuild
The requests are coming in thick and fast and what I’ve begun to notice is that the mobile app is now showing its age. I’ve decided to put updates on hold until this is live. Youll see a major UI overhaul around calendar events and hopefully see performance enhancements as well. The added benefit to this is it will help me roll out new features faster and deal with those pesky bugs 🙂

Same Households – Finally, the Feature You’ve Been Waiting For!
I’ve heard you loud and clear, and I’m thrilled to announce that Same Households is finally on the way! Soon, you’ll be able to assign dogs to a household and even apply discounts when they feature on the same event. This feature will also make invoicing a breeze. We’re as excited as a dog with a new bone about this one.
Repeat Events: Set It and Forget It
You’ve probably heard me mention Repeat Events before, and trust me, this is going to be a game-changer. Imagine never having to manually create the same event over and over again—sounds like a dream, right? While it’s going to take a bit more time to perfect, rest assured that it’s high on my priority list. But first, I’m focusing on delivering all the features mentioned above to lay the groundwork for this epic enhancement.

For all you completionists out there I’ll be adding an option to mark events as done as well as alter invoices to group walks or treat them as individual items.
